Alan Garrett, back home in Manhattan Beach, California after a twenty-year career as an Air Force Special Investigator is now a newly-licensed private eye. He receives an invitation and decides to attend his high school twenty-year reunion . . . even though he remembers almost none of his fellow graduates. “Might be an interesting evening — renew old friendships, have a few laughs, might even pass out my cards — drum up some new business.” Little does Alan know his first major case will materialize this night; he has stumbled upon an evil which has grown in scope to affect scores, perhaps hundreds of unwitting victims.
